ARQ Winter Assembly 29/1/26
AI & PTSD | Opportunities and Challenges
An exchange of lessons learned on January 29, 2026, from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM at the ARQ location in Diemen.
This fourth ARQ Assembly we will explore questions, such as:
What happens when artificial intelligence meets the complexity of trauma care? Can AI predict post-traumatic stress disorder before symptoms even appear? Can it support therapy—or even be part of it? And what ethical boundaries must we carefully guard?
Program 29 January 2026
During the program, we’ll build from broad to specific and dive into:
- A look at the general potential of AI in healthcare
- The use of digital biomarkers to predict PTSD
- A provocative study on using deepfake technology in the treatment of sexual trauma
- And finally, a contribution from someone with lived experience
The full program will be announced soon. But we are proud to already share that Katharina Schultebraucks, PhD, Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Population Health at NYU Langone Health, will kick off the content portion of the event. In addition, Jackie June ter Heide, PhD, clinical psychologist and senior researcher at ARQ, will share her expertise.
